I love how Dexter get almost confused what emostion to use. He will smile then a sec. later he will look at you like “If you blink I will kill you” lol. Its so funny how he is so confused of what emotion to use. He is a really great actor along with every one else on this show! Can not wait tell next season. Thank you so much dexfan!!! WHEN I STARTED WATCHING DEXTER I GOT HOOKED IMMEDIATELY. I WATCHED ALL 5 SEASONS IN ABOUT TWO WEEKS. I COULDN’T WAIT TO GET OFF WORK TO SEE THE NEXT EPISODE. SEASON 6 CAN’T COMW FAST ENOUGH. THANK YOU THE CREATOR OF DEXTER.
I have watched these seasons over the last two weeks during a period when I really should have been working. Dexterfan should know that the quality of this site and its maintainance mean that we can seamlessly watch all the Dexter we need, and trawling on other sites leads inexorably back to this one – the best.
As to the show:
Dexter is amazing and Hall is doing a great job. I’ve enjoyed the concept and the suspense, and the scenarios/violence. Its also pretty bloody humerous!
1. I love the scenes with Harry. They really strip Dexter back and help him.
2. I didn’t like Lumen, I’m fed up with people ‘seeing him’, so even Rita was preferable.
3. He should be a lone wolf with children, a sister, a friend and a girlfriend he lies to.
4. Some good phsycho concepts but Brian was the only worthy actor – I miss him.
5. I loved the Doakes plotline, but that girl’s accent was appalling.
6. For the future no repeating ideas, and a nemesis who stands an actual realistic non-flukey chance – more like Brian.
Right on! I really agree with most everything you wrote here. Unlike most gushing, uncritical fans I have a problem with the writing ever since season one; which was the best. Brian is definitely the perfect foil for Dex. Like you said, other nemeses are just not good enough and it leads to simplistic writing because Dex had to make too many stupid mistakes to keep the themes going – and that really pisses me off. But aside that, I really do love the show because the concept is brilliant.

As usual, great ending. I have to say though that I’m not a fan of Lumen. She was constantly run by impulse; when anything got screwed up, it was because she didn’t think. Even though we can understand that she was driven by desperation to blast out of the horrific turn her life had taken, her non-thinking got to be annoying.
I kept hoping she’d learn more from Dexter’s self-discipline, but even after she’d been around him for awhile, she was still flailing into situations. Like tearing off to that woman’s house alone–of COURSE it was a trap! Duh. Lumen never seemed to develop any intuition. So I hope she’s gone back to Minnesota and stays there. Poor Dexter.
He IS human–he’s just been brainwashed by his well-intentioned but narrow father, and then to have Lumen tell him the same thing he’s heard from that father all his life– “That’s just who you are.” No intuition or insight at all. Go away!
As usual a great season finally! Kinda sad for Dexter with his heart broken and all, but Lumen leaving made sense. All I hope is that next season is as good at the last ones.

Oh my gosh, this site saved my life. I was so busy working swing that I didn’t get to watch season 5. Thanks a million for the opportunity to catch up before 6 came out.
One minor suggestion for layout is that you might consider a “next episode” link near the top of the page. So we can quickly get to the next episode. Only a minor inconvenience, but when I got to the more recent episodes on the list it was kind of a pain to scroll all the way to the bottom of the list. Near the VERY end, I discovered the bar at the top, but it still might be a good idea. Besides that, love the site and thanks for all the dedication!
I love this show, however, there are intermittent problems with the delivery system. Videobb says I have watched 72 mins when in fact I only just came home and havent even seen the first half hour of the season 5 finally. So I tried the MegaVideo and the the audio track is 45 seconds or more behind the video. Might as well not even watch that…
This is quite common, it can be caused by alot of factors. However most people here just switch between Megavideo and VideoBB to get around the limits. I’m glad you enjoy the site

OH NO!!!!!!!!!!It’s over, I am lost I just finished the last season and cannot wait for seaso 6. Now that was a natural high, I just love Dex. I was itroduce to Dexter by one of my 6th grader. Every Friday we have to read for the first 25 minutes in Language Arts and then we discuss what we have read, so my student and I had a heart to heart regarding his chapter book and that’s when e told me that I can get the discs for most of the seasons at the public library. When I saw season 1 episode 1 I was hooked. Funny thing is the following Friday we had another heart to heart and my 6th grader said to me “don’t say that I have never done anything for you,” I had to laugh and say to him I will always remember, so when he graduated from 8th last month I bought his a few more Dexter books that he did not have ( I drill into my students how important it is to read:) So I want to say thank you for doing something for me, I am so glad to have found this site. I will patiently wait for season 6 like all of you. Thank you Dexterfan!!! See you next season can”t wait.

Wow, what a show. I heard about this show over the last 2 years. I was never interested. I took a one month vacation and had a lot of time in the car, so I decided to finally watch this show. I watched the first 2 episodes from my iphone through netflix and got so hooked. I was then ready for season 3 after 2 weeks and couldn’t get it on netflix. I freaked out and had to go out the next day to Kmart and buy the DVD’s. I then found this site which is amazing and just finished watching season 4 and 5. I watched all 5 seasons in 4 1/2 weeks. I am so bummed that there’s no more for me to watch until season 6. I didn’t understand the Dexter fixation until now! Love him and love the writing of this show. I was so upset after Rita died. I couldn’t believe it. But then, I started to really like Lumen and felt that we finally got to see Dexter really love someone and not just fake it in his cute and awkward ways. What to do until September????

not to diatribe, but his episode was too much of an easy fix; seriously! glad lumen is gone though, julia styles is fugly. i’m getting a little sick of harry’s bullshit. dexter never really knows what harry is going to say/think. i guess harry is more of a metaphor for dex’s own inner conflict, that’s the only way that his mind games with dex are acceptable and dont piss me off. but, yeah, again, the quinn easy fix pissed me off…blood work checks of…your good…we’re all happy. speaking of happy, dexfan, you are the best. this site and its maintenance is simple awesome!!
