I like Lumen and everything but I don’t want her and Dexter to have a relationship. That’s probably just me, but I personally think that him and Lumen together won’t do either of them any good.
I like Lumen and her role in Dexter’s life. Rita never would have been able to hang like Lumen does. I always felt really bad for him bc everyone who found out who he really was would have to die. It’d be really nice if he had a vigilante partner.

Secondly, I really like Lumen. I like that Dexter can be completely known by someone else. I miss Rita, but am glad that Dex can reveal his Dark Passenger to someone. All that to also say that I don’t think it’s best for them to date/be in a relationship. With Astor, Cody and Harrison in the Orlando, I don’t think the timing is right.

I rarely have problems watching the vids and if I do its just easy fixes. “Dexter” makes it hard to watch any other thriller, mystery, or detective show or film now, because this show makes them all look so one-dimensional. And this episode, “In the Beginning,” is so touching.

I think Dexter can have a good long-lasting woman in his life if he doesn’t expect too much from the relationship, he just has to realize that if he can’t do something about curing his killing ways, then he can’t have relationships where people know his true self, he must compromise. Knowing his secret is a lot to ask of someone, because his killing is like a mistress that he has to give equal time to. He just has to make sure not to neglect his personal responsibilities and then he should be able to have some sort of a semi-happy, ful-filling life. When the show ends I think the fact that he is a serial killer will force the writers to leave the ending either open ended or unclear, just to make it morally correct, but they could throw us a curve ball, who knows?
Of course Dexter can have a woman in his life! Lumen is perfect because she accepts him for what he is (so far). She is damaged herself because of the traumatic events that happened to her, just like Dexter is. She can understand Dexter’s “darkness” better because she understands severe trauma and the affects of it. Rita did have trauma in her life as well but not to the extent that Lumen has had. Lumen has a darkness within herself too. I liked Rita, she was an amazing character as a mother and in the beginning she was just right for Dex. But after Dex and Rita got married she wasn’t good for him anymore because she tried to pry too much and didn’t give him space. Besides, any good woman should know that a man needs his space every so often; married or not. While Dex kept secrets, she still should have trusted him. Comeon now – Rita getting worked up about Dex keeping his apartment? Hello? Mancave? -_-
I don’t know why but I have had trouble with the VideoBB loading all day, the other will load but the picture quality is not nearly as good as the VideoBB. I have tried using Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Google Chrome to see if it will help and have not found any way around it.

I fewl the same way, but I could understand it. Lumen is the only one who truly can accept him as he is. He can be totally himself with her.
